A 19th century two-story cabin moved to its present location and renovated in 2006. Nestled among maple trees and surrounded by mountains and woodlands, the 54 acre property is completely private and secluded. The surrounding woodlands are comprised of hardwoods, including maple, hickory and oak. Deer, turkey and grouse abound, supplemented by an occasional black bear siting. The property has access to national forest and is adjacent in part to land under conservation easement. Elevations range from 2,500 feet at the valley floor and rise to 3,000 feet, with the cabin itself situated at 2,800 feet.

The cabin offers long views to the north and south. There is a small turn-of-the-century barn constructed of wormy chestnut. It is the only other building visible from the cabin. The interior floors are of antique oak and pine. There is a large fireplace made of local stone in the great room. Kitchen appliances and bath fixtures are brand new. The upstairs contains a master bedroom with a fireplace and an adjoining bath. In addition, there is a guest room having its own bath. Water is taken from a spring fed stream and piped to a reservoir by gravity and then pumped to the cabin. The spring is located on the property and is well protected by large sugar maple and oak trees.
